Course Overview
Learn how aerial robotic systems are used for contact-based ultrasonic thickness measurements for field measurements. Drones can help the inspector perform automated exterior UT inspections of above-ground storage tank shells in hazardous locations, thus ensuring inspector safety on the job. This alleviates the need for current access methods, including lifts, ladders, and rope work, which put the inspector at risk. This presentation invites you to get on board with aerial robotic systems that are forecast to grow exponentially in this decade and beyond.
