Course Overview
Participants will learn how focus depth in phased array works and how to correctly calculate, set up, and achieve optimal resolution and sensitivity at the focal spot, ensuring maximum energy and acoustic pressure.
This session emphasizes the mathematics behind phased array. Attendees will explore the real waveforms at the focal spot and learn how to design effective scan plans.
Upon Completion, Learners Will Be Able To:
- Understand wave behavior at the focal depth
- Calculate the optimal number of active elements for each configuration
- Identify the correct focus depth for inspections
- Select the most suitable probe for specific applications
