This session explores the often-overlooked challenges and unexpected realities of being your own boss, helping you better prepare for the rewards and responsibilities of entrepreneurship.

  • Identify strategies to reduce taxable income and manage financial responsibilities.

Meet the Speaker

Michael McGloin

Michael began his NDT career at 17, working across refineries, power plants, and aerospace projects at The Boeing Company, including the International Space Station and Space Shuttle. By 23, he had earned Corporate Level III certifications in PT and RT, and now holds seven ASNT Level III’s (PT, RT, MT, VT, UT, ET, LT), along with ACCP Level III’s and a CWI from AWS. An ASNT Fellow, Life Member, and former President (2019–2020), Michael has received multiple ASNT honors for his leadership and service. He founded NDT Enterprises in 2000 and has been successfully self-employed for over 26 years.
