Course Description

This course is recommended for NDT Level IIIs, quality assurance managers, MT/PT and other NDT inspectors.

Are you an NDT Level III who is bogged down with too much paperwork? Or a quality assurance manager who is looking to optimize your company’s inspection process? Or maybe you’re a technician who would like to switch from old-fashioned paper-and-pencil recording to digitization of data? In this course, you’ll learn how each step of the magnetic particle testing (MT) process can be augmented with computer programming for improved efficiency and accuracy. Although the focus is on MT, the basic premises can be applied to any inspection method or technique.

Course Objectives:
  • Recognize the value of a computer-aided process control system for improving the quality of magnetic particle inspections and reducing the associated costs

NOTE: This learning module is not intended to meet the requirement of CP-105 toward SNT-TC-1A and CP-189 certification of Level I and/or Level II personnel.
