Course Overview

Infrastructure in the US and around the world is aging. Bridge closures and failures are common occurrences and are ever-increasing. Advancements in nondestructive testing technologies and data analysis are beginning to make a dent in the backlog of ailing structures. Funding for infrastructure has opened some doors to incorporating more NDT into bridge management plans. This webinar will review the different NDT technologies being used in infrastructure inspection, how the data is being integrated and analyzed, and what the future might hold for the industry. Top industry experts will present.

Upon Completion, Learners Will Be Able To:

  • Explain the challenges faced during inspections in the bridge industry.
  • Identify and evaluate various Nondestructive Testing (NDT) methods for bridges, and determine the suitability of each method for specific bridge elements.
  • Understand the concept of data fusion and its application in bridge maintenance, repair, and management to obtain actionable information.
