David Fry had a 32-year career in Nondestructive Testing at LANL, starting in 1989 and retiring in 2022. He was a recognized expert in Radiographic Testing for the NNSA and international agencies, serving as a process engineer and Responsible Level III for LANL's NDT group. His responsibilities included equipment procurement, technique development, inspections, and result interpretation across NNSA sites, utilizing various methods such as film, radioscopy, DDAs, CR, and CT. David also engaged in nuclear emergency response programs, worked on underground nuclear tests, and provided high energy radiography capability for the Russian Federation's nuclear accident response. He led R&D projects, contributed to radiography standards development, and received awards for his outstanding contributions in the field..
